No Results Found Baptismal Names and Legal Names

The mask is a search token. The chart wants a person. Keep both in the memo.

Baptismal Names

Japanese clear notes give this case file a blunt warning. Early on you search baptismal names. Later the story stops using them and moves to legal names. If you only kept エンジェラ in the memo, the late reports will feel like a different game. That is not a localization bug. It is how a closed Church internet works: a handle for the board, a civic name for the drowning file.

This page sits between Key Figures and IDs and Roles. It is not a full slot dump. The Walkthrough still fills the graph when you are done being stubborn. We stay on the two-layer naming system Steam threads keep tripping over: baptismal name, community ID, role, legal name.

You play a NIRA researcher. The Church of the Nine-Tentacled Octopus — 아홉개의 문어다리교, 九腕タコ教 — lost 227 people in a ritual. The public site teaches dialect. The hidden board teaches who is joking. The organization chart is where those jokes become people you can Accuse or Connive.

Four tokens, one person

A baptismal name is the Church-facing label: Engela, Salf, Coelacanth, Makor, Orca in the English UI, with Japanese and Korean forms on those clients. Search it. It returns event posts, merch jokes, and official notices.

A community ID is the handle under a personal post. Official Church notices often sit under an official-looking footer. Personal notices sit under a handle. That handle is what Model NIRA Employee and the officer report want. Public spoiler lists that match Steam’s Finding the IDs threads: MammamiA for Engela, likeOcto for Salf, BlackWhale for Coelacanth, Panace4 for the Makor medical-office slot, Rhadamanthys for Orca. Copy the mixed case. See IDs and Roles for the Marco versus Makor trap.

A role is the job string the live UI prints: events-team chief, education-team chief, ceremony-office chief, medical-office chief, pharmacy-section chief. Do not translate 医務室長 into a clever English gloss and paste it into a Korean field. Patch 1.1 revised terminology. Re-copy.

A legal name is the civic identity late reports use. Japanese notes list names such as Jeong Dajeong, Kim Seonghyeon, Seo Hyeonju, Cho Chungseop as paperwork tokens, not as Steam friends. Keep baptismal name and legal name on the same memo line so you do not pin a mask into a specimen-ledger blank. Investigation Reports spends those names. This page only tells you they are a different layer.

Why the swap happens

The members-only board is a closed forum. People talk in masks. NIRA’s drowning file is a state document. People drown under family names. The game teaches you the forum language first so you can find the board, then it recodes the same bodies into a government chart so Accuse and Connive mean something. Reviews that giggle through the board and then go quiet at the ending are reacting to that recode.

If you search a baptismal name in the NIRA Database phase and get nothing, you are not missing DLC. You are querying the wrong layer. Search the legal name or the document title the report already contains. NIRA Database is that phase. Wiki Blanks maps public Steam sentences onto lemmas. Copy the lemma. Do not invent a baptismal name that “sounds official.”

Spelling traps that are really layer traps

Marco versus Makor is the published English example. The game trains you to type Marco. Makor returns a person. That is a spelling trap on one layer. Mixing Engela the baptismal name with MammamiA the handle as if they were interchangeable search keys is a layer trap. Search both. Pin when two surfaces agree. One joke nickname is a lead. Two surfaces are a person.

If you swapped English, Korean, and Japanese mid-run, the baptismal glyphs change. Search the form the current UI prints. Typing and IME covers full-width freezes. Paste from the memo.

Chinese UI after Patch 1.2 is a fifth client language, not a fifth wiki locale. In-world Chinese on a document can still be a token. Search it. Do not assume this English page will transliterate every ledger.

How to use the memo as a roster

Japanese players wrote baptismal name, role, and ID on one notepad line before the late game dropped the masks. Do that. When a report asks who was in charge, you want the role you already pinned, not a new theory. When a report asks for a legal name, you want the civic string from a ledger, not the cute handle from a sports-day thread.

Closer to the Truth still wants you to read the board where baptismal names live. Skimming five officer IDs is not reading. See Closer to the Truth. Photo selfies can be surface one. See Photo Clues.

Do not scrape the real internet for these people. They are fictional. The only index that matters is the NIRA desktop. Family Sharing is listed. There is no multiplayer. You fill this roster alone.

When the chart is full and the memo has both layers, file. When it is not, search the layer the current document is actually using. That is the entire naming system No Results Found ships, and it is why a character-tier-list wiki would fail this case.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for investigators who just hit a dead search.

Are baptismal names the same as Steam IDs?

No. They are in-world Church labels. Community handles and legal names are separate tokens. Confirm twice before you pin.

Why do late reports stop using the mask names?

The forum talks in baptismal names. The drowning file talks in legal names. Keep both on one memo line.

Is Makor a baptismal name or a typo for Marco?

It is the form that returns a person. Search both. Keep the spelling the documents use, not the one the tutorial trained.
