Patch 1.0.1 Notes

Zzangdol Games posted Patch Notes 1.0.1 to Steam news the day after No Results Found launched. The note opens in character: “Hello, followers of NineTentaclism.” Then it lists three concrete fixes. This page mirrors that announcement so the rest of the wiki can stop saying “until a patch exists.” A patch exists. It does not change the investigation. It changes whether you can see the desk, type into it, and read the words the designers spelled on purpose.

The live store date remains 14 August 2026. The free Windows download remains free. Languages remain Korean, English, and Japanese. Ten achievements remain ten. Accuse and Connive remain hidden. DODGE thresholds remain 1,000 and 2,000. Launch Notes is still the day-one snapshot. This page is the first delta.

What 1.0.1 actually lists

Official bullets, in the order Steam shows them:

  1. Fixed an issue where the screen would not display properly on aspect ratios other than 16:9.
  2. Improved input field logic.
  3. Fixed typos.

That is the whole mechanical list. There is no hint button. There is no manual-advance toggle for chats or the final report. There is no Mac or Linux build. There is no change to the community-address puzzle or the true-nature blank. If you were stuck on a search, 1.0.1 will not type the token for you. Use How to Search, Hidden Community, or the in-game wiki page.

Who the display fix is for

Ultrawide monitors, 16:10 laptops, and odd window sizes. Launch 1.0 assumed 16:9 the way a lot of desktop-sim rooms do. If your first boot was a black, cropped, or empty viewport, you were not missing a cult URL. You were missing a patch. Update through Steam, or force a 16:9 window if a later bug appears. Details sit on Controls next to the mouse-and-keyboard sheet. The System Requirements numbers did not rise. An i3-6100 still runs the reading layers.

Who the input-field fix is for

Anyone whose search bar ate characters, ignored a click, or fought an IME. This game is a typing mystery. If the field lies, the case lies. Korean and Japanese players in particular should retry a token that bounced on 1.0 before they open spoilers. English players should still copy Marco versus Makor exactly; a logic patch does not make the index fuzzy. Extra adjectives still miss. Full wiki titles still matter more than middle words.

Who the typo fix is for

Everyone who searches strings the game printed. A misspelled lemma is a false wall. 1.0.1 repairing typos is why you should not treat an old screenshot of a Church page as canonical if a later search dies. Re-copy from the live build. Then trust the Search Notebook.

Bug reports, not hints

A separate Steam news post, also in the NineTentaclism voice, asks players to mail zzangdolgames@gmail.com with bugs and technical issues. That address is the same support line on the store page. Mail crashes, display failures, and input bugs. Do not mail the community address. Do not mail the true-nature blank. This wiki covers those walls. The developer sign-off on the bug post promises that NineTentaclism will keep marching toward the Day of Grand Inversion. That is flavor from the Church file, not a new ending. See Church of the Nine-Tentacled Octopus.

A third, older Steam news item celebrated 1,000 wishlists before launch. It does not change the build. It only explains why preview calendars talked about the game in July while the live date is 14 August.

What week-one reviews still want

Manual advance on chats and on the final report. A way to keep the in-game wiki after the title card. A hint option for people who refuse a fan wiki. 1.0.1 did not ship those. English reviewer Jennik named the auto-advance nicks in a recommend. Korean reviews named DODGE difficulty and a weakly justified last-word blank. Those remain design. Screenshot chats. File Accuse or Connive on Endings. Leave DODGE for later.

Reception at the moment this page was written sat Very Positive, with user reviews still a clean sheet of recommends and a count in the high eighties. That is a reception snapshot, not a patch note. The Review tracks tone. This hub’s parent Updates tracks builds.

How to verify you are on 1.0.1

Open Steam, check the news tab on app 4911390, and let the client update. If the screen is still wrong on ultrawide after the update, mail the bug address and run a 16:9 window. If searches still bounce, you are on a token wall, not a patch wall. If a later 1.0.2 appears, it will get its own dated page above this one. Until then, 1.0.1 is the current delta and Launch Notes is still the bible for everything the patch did not touch.

Official store, trailer, and mail remain on Official Links. The trailer we embed is still the ZzangdolGames YouTube video on How to Play. Steam also hosts an English gameplay video on the store page; that file is not a YouTube ID, so this wiki does not pretend it is one.
